Over a period of six years the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LMAC) separately commissioned nine major video projects for their use at airshows all over the world. After the initial "Fighter Enterprise" project, Lockheed bought their own display hardware, settling into a fixed four-screen format for their video presentations. This meant that for each project four versions were produced:
· a four screen 4:3 version for major international airshows, with images projected on to four "HoloPros" - sheets of glass with embedded holographic film, making them receptive to a projected image
· a four screen 16:9 version for major national airshows, displayed on four plasma screens
· two single screen versions 4:3 and 16:9 for use on the available display hardware) for smaller national and international shows.
Six of the major video projects were produced for this set of formats, and two were more conventional "single screen" productions ("Words" and an Interactive video). All of the projects were principally devised and created by Daniel Tamman, both in terms of their creative content and their technical production. Intended for a primary audience of international military and government decision-makers, but also accessible to the general public, most premiered at either the Farnborough Airshow in the UK or Paris Airshow in France.
